I studied gender theory at the London School of Economics, but I became increasingly frustrated with the gap between academia, feminist theory and the real world. After university I worked in Parliament, at the Home Office and for a think-tank. In a bid to do something practical about the lack of women in politics I stood for a local council seat in the 2010 elections. I really have seen the British political process from all sides.
Here you’ll find thoughtful comment on gender, politics and quite often gender and politics.
I’ve written for a number of publications in both the USA and UK, including the Guardian, Forbes, Levo League and Left Foot Forward.
